Fegley's - Devious Imperial Pumpkin

Who makes this beer?  Its listed as Fegley's which is bottled by Allentown Brew Works who is owned by Bethlehem Brew Works.  Will the real brewery please stand up!  All kidding aside...........

Update on 9/10/2012 with a 12 oz bottle

Amber hued Imperial Pumpkin Ale brewed with real pumpkin and pale, Munich, and caramel malts.
Ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and allspice are flawlessly combined with the subtle taste of pumpkin for the most deviously enticing Autumn brew.

Imperial Pumpkin Ale – A fall seasonal that ups the abv to 9% from a standard Pumpkin Ale. Imperial Pumpkin Ales are still typically mild, with a malty backbone that is balanced by the additional alcohol. The spice takes a lead, but is not overwhelming to the natural pumpkin that’s used in the brew.

Style - Imperial Pumpkin Ale
Glass to use- Pint Glass
Delivery 12oz Bottle

Not recommended for extended cellaring.

The Pour - Pours a clear brown color with a tan head that dissipates.  Some lacing.
Aroma - Pumpkin, nutmeg and strangely some pepper. Also a bit of gingerbread.
Taste - Pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon (allspice) and some malts.
Mouth Feel - Low carbonation but much better than the 750ml bottle, medium body.
Drinkable - Very well balanced, not too sweet and the spices are not over the top as in some other pumpkins on the market.  Alcohol is well hidden, I thought I was drinking a regular pumpkin ale.

This beer pair well with chicken, turkey and pork. And pumpkin pie.

This beer gets a Duper rating of A-.
